Krister Sällinen, Millog’s Vice President, Land Systems has been elected as the new CEO of Millog Marine & Power Oy. Sällinen stepped into his new role as the subsidiary’s CEO on 12 February.
Millog’s subsidiary Millog Marine & Power Oy (MMP) is now headed by a new CEO, Millog’s Vice President, Land Systems Krister Sällinen. Sällinen stepped into his new role on 12 February. MMP’s previous CEO Janne Sirviö resigned from the post last December in order to take up a position at another company in spring 2024. Millog Marine & Power came into existence in September 2022 with the merger of the Millog Group companies Oy Western Shipyard Ltd., Laivakone Oy and Hämeen Diesel Oy.
Sällinen first joined Millog in August 2021 as Vice President, Life Cycle Services. He took over as Vice President, Land Systems one year later. Before joining Millog, Sällinen worked for companies such as Valmet Automation Oy and ABB.

According to Harmaala, Millog Marine & Power will be expanding its service offering when it comes to its docking and field maintenance business in the future. In addition to meeting the company’s growth targets, the new CEO will also be busy developing the company’s profitability, sales and supply chains, as well as expanding its customer base.

In the last few years, I have had the chance to expand on my previous experience in outsourced maintenance by working with issues related to Millog’s strategic partner, the Finnish Defence Forces. At Millog Marine & Power, I want to apply my previous experience to reinforce the implementation of unified operating procedures in the group. We are also in the midst of updating our strategy, and with that, we are going to be developing MMP’s service business and its profitability by improving how we serve both new and existing customers”, Sällinen says.
