Our Environmental Sustainability Actions and Goals
Millog Group’s environmental sustainability is directed by our environmental policy, relevant environmental legislation, international principles, and the environmental sustainability requirements of our customers.
We’ve identified the key aspects of our environmental sustainability through on a double materiality analysis in line with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), that guide our operations. These include mitigating and adapting to climate change, improving energy efficiency, and promoting circular economy, including waste recycling.
Millog Group is committed to the Science Based Targets initiative as part of Patria Gorup. This means that our emission reduction targets are based on scientific research and support the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The targets apply to the entire Millog Group, including all our subsidiaries.
Millog’s Emission Reduction Targets for 2030 are:
- Reduce absolute emissions from our own operations and energy consumption (scope 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030 compared to the baseline year 2023.
- Reduce absolute emissions from our value chain (scope 3) by 25% by 2030 compared to the baseline year 2023.
Most of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions come from indirect impacts in the supply chain, so co-operation with the value chain is key to mitigating them. Main actions to reduce our own emissions include increasing the use of sustainably produced electricity and heat, and reducing emissions in our own energy production.
We promote circular economy in our operations and aim to use materials resource-efficiently to minimize waste. This means avoiding, reducing, reusing, recycling and in the end responsible disposing of waste created in our operations. Additionally, our maintenance and repair activities extend the lifecycle of both our own and our customers’ products.
